Cookie Policy
Last updated: 2026-05-18.
This page explains every cookie Netlonics sets, who sets it, what it's for, and how long it sticks around. You control analytics and marketing cookies via the Manage cookies link in the footer.
Your choice
When you first visit Netlonics, our cookie banner asks for your consent. You can:
- Accept all — all categories below are enabled.
- Reject all — only the Necessary category is enabled.
- Customise — toggle Analytics and Marketing independently.
Your choice is stored in a cookie called netlonics_consent, valid for 12 months. You can change your mind at any time via the Manage cookies link in the page footer — that link re-opens the banner.
We never sell your data. In the Customise screen the Marketing toggle starts in the off position — you have to actively switch it on; "Accept all" enables it together with Analytics. While Marketing is off, no advertising cookies are set and Google Signals enrichment of your Analytics data is suppressed via Consent Mode v2 — see the Analytics and Marketing sections below for the full mechanics. We'll update this page before adding any new cookie.
Necessary cookies — always on
These are required for Netlonics to function. They are not subject to consent because without them the site simply cannot work (account login, security, your cookie preferences themselves).
| Cookie | Set by | Purpose | Retention |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| netlonics_session | Netlonics | Identifies your browser session so you stay logged in across page loads. | 2 hours of inactivity |
| XSRF-TOKEN | Netlonics | Cross-site request forgery (CSRF) protection — pairs every form submission with a token only your browser knows. | 2 hours of inactivity |
| netlonics_consent | Netlonics | Stores your cookie-banner choices so we don't ask again on every visit. | 12 months |
| laravel_cookie_consent | Netlonics | Legacy flag that the banner was shown at least once. Kept for backwards-compatibility; we never read it. | 12 months |
| rebirth_ref | Netlonics | Records the invite code you arrived with so the right inviter gets credit when you sign up. Only set if you arrive via ?ref=… link. | 30 days |
Analytics cookies — opt-in
Only set if you grant the Analytics category. We use these to understand which pages help visitors and which ones cause friction.
| Cookie | Set by | Purpose | Retention |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| _ga | Google Analytics 4 (loaded via Google Tag Manager) | Identifies a unique browser so visit counts aren't double-counted. | 2 years |
| _ga_<container> | Google Analytics 4 | Stores session state for GA4. | 2 years |
Google Analytics data retention on our property is set to 14 months (the GA4 maximum on the free tier) and IP anonymisation is on by default in GA4.
Google Signals is enabled at the property level. When you also accept the Marketing category, Google may enrich your visit data with signals from your signed-in Google account (such as interest categories and demographics) to improve attribution and let us prepare audience lists for future Google Ads campaigns. When you reject Marketing, the ad_user_data and ad_personalization consent signals are sent as "denied" via Google Consent Mode v2, which suppresses Google Signals enrichment and any audience sharing for that visit — only the basic _ga analytics hits remain.
Marketing cookies — opt-in
No Marketing cookies are set on your device today, but the Marketing toggle is still meaningful: it controls the ad_user_data and ad_personalization signals described above, which gate Google Signals enrichment of your Analytics data.
When we start running paid campaigns (Google Ads, Meta Ads, LinkedIn, etc.), the relevant pixels will be added here first — we will update this page before the tags go live, and existing consent decisions will be re-prompted if the categories change.
Third parties
When you grant Analytics, your browser loads scripts from googletagmanager.com and google-analytics.com. These domains are operated by Google Ireland Ltd. under Google's own privacy policy, and they sit behind our consent toggle — when consent is denied, no requests are made to them.
