Information for parents
Last updated: 2026-05-21.
This is an English translation of the Dutch parents page. In case of any discrepancy, the Dutch version prevails.
Welcome to Netlonics. On this page we briefly explain — without jargon — what our service is, how it works for your child, what it costs, and how we handle safety and privacy. Questions after reading? Email [email protected] — we typically respond within one business day.
What exactly do we do?
Netlonics rents out game servers. That means: a dedicated Minecraft, ARK or Palworld server (or one of the other games in our catalogue) where your child can play together with friends. We manage the technology; your child manages the content of their own server.
We are not a game. We do not sell Minecraft accounts, V-Bucks, virtual costumes or lootboxes. What you pay us is purely renting the compute resources (CPU, memory, storage) the server runs on.
What age?
Our service is intended for players aged 16 and older. If your child is younger than 16, Dutch law (and we) require your explicit parental or legal-guardian consent before the account may be created. In practice: complete the sign-up together with your child, or do it yourself in your child's name. Questions? Email us.
What does it cost?
Our prices are always listed clearly on the games page, per Pack and per tier. Short summary:
- Monthly subscription — billed monthly, cancellable any time via the dashboard. No lock-in contract, no hidden fees.
- One-time — for some Packs we offer a fixed one-time price instead of a subscription.
All prices are VAT-inclusive and in euros. We use Stripe as our payment processor; your card details never reach us. Automatic billing (for subscriptions) can be switched off at any time from the dashboard.
No in-game purchases. Once purchased, your child pays nothing extra in the server itself — no power-ups, no costumes, no lootboxes via us. We are only the hosting.
2-day test window. If within 2 calendar days after activation you find that the Server does not work as expected, one email gets your money back — no questions asked. After those 2 days the normal cancellation policy applies: monthly subscriptions can be cancelled at any time, but months already paid are not refunded.
How do we keep your data safe?
- All connections run over SSL (HTTPS) — recognisable by the padlock and "
https://" in the browser bar. - Passwords are stored encrypted. We cannot read them ourselves.
- We never sell your data to third parties.
- Payments run via Stripe (Ireland/EU); credit card or bank details do not reach Netlonics.
- Servers run physically in the Netherlands and Germany (EU), not in countries with weaker privacy regimes.
Full details are in our Privacy Policy.
What can your child actually do on such a server?
- Play with friends in a private world only accessible to those with the IP address and possibly a password.
- Install mods and plugins (within what the game licence allows).
- Add sub-users — for example, a trusted friend who can also help manage things.
- Upload and download world files, manage back-ups.
What your child cannot do:
- See or reach other Netlonics customers via our platform — accounts are isolated.
- Modify our internal systems — management is limited to their own server.
Communication and passwords — beware of phishing
- We never ask for your password. Not by email, not via Discord, not via chat. If your child receives a message from "someone at Netlonics" asking for a password? It's fake. Forward it to
[email protected]so we can investigate. - Official emails always come from an
@netlonics.comaddress. - Don't click links in unexpected emails. Always log in directly via netlonics.com to verify something.
The account: who is in control?
The account is held in the name of whoever created it — often your child. Changing the password, adjusting payment, or cancelling can only be done from that account. Want oversight as a parent? Two options:
- Create the account yourself, with your own email as the main account. Then add your child as a sub-user on the Server.
- Ask your child for the login details and keep them at home. Particularly useful to watch the payment method.
We advise against sharing passwords via chat apps; prefer a password manager or a paper note at home.
Anything wrong? Concerned? Questions?
Three channels:
- Email:
[email protected]for general, privacy and legal questions. - Support ticket via the dashboard (after login) — usually answered within one business day.
- Unresolved complaint about the service? You can turn to the European ODR platform at
https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odror, for privacy complaints, the Dutch Data Protection Authority athttps://autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl.
Netlonics is a small Dutch business. There is no marketing machine behind it, no ad network, no hidden agenda. If you'd like to know more about who we are or how we operate — email us. We're happy to help.
