Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated: 2026-05-21.
This is an English translation of the Dutch AUP. In case of any discrepancy, the Dutch version prevails.
This Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) forms part of our Terms of Service and describes which use of the Netlonics service is not permitted. In case of violation, we may immediately and without refund suspend or terminate your Server.
1. Generally prohibited use
You may not use the Service to:
- Conduct activities in violation of Dutch or European law.
- Host, distribute or make available criminal material — including but not limited to child sexual abuse material, terrorism-related material, and hate content.
- Infringe rights of third parties — copyright, trade mark, image rights, privacy, or any other right.
- Host content inciting violence, discrimination or hate against persons or groups.
- Distribute malware, viruses, ransomware, keyloggers or comparable harmful software.
- Send unsolicited bulk email (spam), including using the Server as an open mail relay.
- Set up phishing sites, scam websites or fraudulent payment pages.
- Run anonymising proxies, Tor exit nodes, or open VPN endpoints for third-party use.
- Mine cryptocurrency (CPU or GPU based) or connect to mining pools.
2. Network and infrastructure abuse
- No attacks or attempted attacks on other systems, regardless of where they are located: DDoS attacks, port scans, brute-force attempts, exploit scanners, vulnerability scans against third parties without the prior written consent of the owner.
- No attempts to circumvent our DDoS protection, rate limits, or other security measures.
- No attempts to gain access to accounts or servers of other Netlonics customers.
- No reverse engineering, decompilation or unauthorised access to the Netlonics control plane, the node daemon, or our internal tooling.
3. Game-specific
Our Service is centred on game servers. Specifically for game environments:
- No cheat clients or hacks that harm other players (think kill-aura, x-ray, fly hacks in survival modes). What you do in your own creative mode is your choice, but we do not tolerate cheat distribution channels.
- No prepackaged cracked launchers or piracy tooling distributed from your Server. The same applies to making paid mods or plugins available without a licence.
- No access to Mojang/Microsoft accounts of third parties without their consent — no account stealers, no IP loggers targeting players.
- No exploits of public game servers — pretty please.
4. Resource abuse
Each Pack and Pack tier has allocated CPU, RAM and disk. It is not permitted to:
- Continuously consume disproportionately many resources compared to what you purchased. Short spikes (server start, mod loading, world generation) are fine; continually overloading a physical node is not.
- Repurpose your Server as a general-purpose VPS for purposes other than game hosting (crypto miner, render farm, web scraper, video encoder, etc.).
- Run workloads that hinder other customers on the same physical node ("noisy neighbour").
We may temporarily suspend or throttle the Server when we observe resource abuse.
5. Abuse of support and accounts
- No creating multiple accounts to repeatedly use the 2-day test window or trial actions.
- No falsified payment details or stolen credit cards. Chargebacks are followed by immediate account termination.
- No abuse of the ticket system for threats, intimidation or harassment of our staff.
6. Sub-users and players
You remain responsible for the conduct of everyone you give access to your Server — sub-users, administrators, and players. Violations by persons to whom you granted access count as your violation.
7. Reporting abuse
Suspect another Netlonics customer or a player on another server of abuse? Email [email protected] with as much concrete detail as possible (server IP, timestamp, logs, screenshots). We investigate every credible suspicion and may suspend after investigation.
8. Consequences of a violation
- Minor violation (e.g. an accidental copyright notice): warning by email with a request to fix the infringement within 24 hours.
- Severe violation (DDoS, malware, CSAM, payment fraud): immediate suspension of the Server, termination of the Agreement, no refund, and — when legally required — report to the competent authority.
- Repeated minor violations are treated as a severe violation.
We determine in our discretion which category applies. We cannot guarantee in advance whether a specific use will be acceptable — in case of doubt: email us before putting the Server to use.
